99 SOUNDS is 99 recordings and drawings (charcoal and graphite, 10"x10", 140lb archival paper, 2005) done in support of SOUND, Curtis's 4th solo biennial of interactive installation. For the first 90 drawings (images 1.25"x1.25" and 3"x3"), Curtis listened to each recording of a sound in her life, over and over again until she could visualize what the sound looked like.
